How to calculate name numerology: a worked example
Example: the name Rahul Sharma, born 14-08-1990 (Mulank 5, Bhagyank 5). Chaldean values: 1 A J S · 2 B K T · 3 C L U · 4 D M V · 5 E N W · 6 F O X · 7 G P Y · 8 H Q Z · 9 I R.
- Rahul: R 9 + A 1 + H 8 + U 3 + L 3 = 24 → 2 + 4 = 6.
- Sharma: S 1 + H 8 + A 1 + R 9 + M 4 + A 1 = 24 → 6.
- Full name: 24 + 24 = 48 → 4 + 8 = 12 → 1 + 2 = 3. Name number = 3.
- Compare with the birth numbers: 3 is friendly with Mulank 5 and with Bhagyank 5, so no spelling correction is indicated.

When a part of the name totals 11 (master number)
Raj: R 9 + A 1 + J 1 = 11. 11 is a master number, so it is kept as 11 and not reduced to 2.
When the total reduces twice
Priya: P 7 + R 9 + I 9 + Y 7 + A 1 = 33 → 3 + 3 = 6. Patel: P 7 + A 1 + T 2 + E 5 + L 3 = 18 → 9. Full name: 33 + 18 = 51 → 5 + 1 = 6.
How one extra letter changes the number
Neha: N 5 + E 5 + H 8 + A 1 = 19 → 10 → 1. Spelled Nehaa, one more A (1) makes 20 → 2. This is why name correction works through small spelling changes.
Name numerology: common questions
How do I calculate my name number?
Give each letter of your full name its Chaldean value, add them up, and reduce the total to a single digit (master numbers 11 and 22 are kept). The calculator shows every letter's value.
Which system does this calculator use?
The Chaldean system, using the letter table shown in the example above.
What is name correction in numerology?
If your name number is unfriendly with your Mulank or Bhagyank, a small spelling change can bring it to a favourable total. The calculator tells you whether a correction is indicated and suggests favourable totals.
Should my name number match my Mulank or Bhagyank?
It does not need to be the same number, but it should be friendly or neutral with both. The page shows the relation with each.
Should I use my full name or only my first name?
Both count. The calculator shows the full name number and the first name number separately.
Does a spelling change really change my name number?
Yes. Every letter has a value, so adding or changing one letter changes the total, as the Neha / Nehaa example shows.
Is my name saved?
No, not unless you sign in and choose to save a report.
