Introduction
In some astrological and tantric traditions, the Rahu Mahayantra is linked with pacifying the planet Rahu, managing obstacles, concentration and the wish for progress in life. This method describes drawing it in green pen on a Saturday and keeping it in your wallet.
Please note: there is no scientific proof that a yantra guarantees money or removes financial problems.
What you need, and when
- Clean white paper
- A green pen or sketch pen
- A clean place for worship
- A lamp and incense, if you wish
- A mala, if you will chant the mantra
Day: Saturday, as the tradition describes. Time: a quiet morning hour after bathing is convenient.
The numbers in the yantra
The likely order of numbers in the nine squares of the 3×3 grid: 13, 8, 15 / 14, 12, 18 / 9, 6, 4.
Important: it cannot be said for certain that this is the authenticated layout of any recognised classical Rahu yantra. Treat it as a reconstruction of the yantra shown in the video, not a verified classical form.
A simple traditional puja method
This is a simple home puja. For a formal prana-pratishtha or tantric ritual, seek guidance from a qualified guru of your tradition.
1. Purify the space — after bathing, sit on a clean seat. Keep the place of worship clean. Light a lamp and incense if you wish.
2. Draw the yantra — on a Saturday, draw nine squares (3×3) on white paper and write the numbers in the same order. Write “ॐ” around it.
3. Make a resolution (sankalp) — pray in your mind: “I undertake this practice for wisdom, discipline, financial stability and the right opportunities in my life.”
4. Chant the Rahu mantra — chant the mantra below 108 times with devotion. It is the commonly used beej mantra of Rahu.
5. Keep the yantra — after the puja, fold the paper neatly three or four times and you may keep it in your wallet. Treat it as a symbol of faith; it does not guarantee attracting money.
The Rahu mantra — chant 108 times
ॐ भ्रां भ्रीं भ्रौं सः राहवे नमः॥
Pronunciation: Om Bhraam Bhreem Bhraum Sah Rahave Namah
- You may begin on a Saturday.
- Sit calmly in the morning after bathing.
- Chant one round on a rudraksha or any other 108-bead mala.
- If you wish to build regularity, you may practise for 40 days. This is an optional discipline, not a rule that gives a fixed result.
Other traditional Saturday remedies
- Charity: as you are able, donate black sesame, black urad, or something useful to a person in need.
- Right conduct: avoid lies, deceit, greed and the financial exploitation of others.
- Worship: as your faith guides you, you may offer simple worship to Mother Durga or Bhairava.
- Gemstone: have a qualified astrologer review your birth chart before wearing hessonite (gomed). Do not buy an expensive gem only because of a social-media claim.
A simple 40-day routine
- Every morning: bath, resolution and 108 chants of the mantra
- Saturday: worship of the yantra and charity as you wish
- Every day: review spending, savings and income opportunities
- Day 40: review your routine and decide whether to continue
Money pledge: alongside the practice, take concrete steps to increase income, cut unnecessary spending, repay debt and save.
