Why your mobile number matters in numerology
In numerology every number carries the energy of a planet. Your mobile number is a number you use, share and hear every day, so it is read as a small but constant influence on your work, money and relationships.
The aim is not to find one 'lucky' number for everyone. It is to find a total that is friendly with your own birth numbers.
Step 1: add every digit
Write your 10-digit number without the country code (+91), spaces or dashes, and add all the digits together. This unreduced figure is the compound total.
Example: 98765 43210 → 9+8+7+6+5+4+3+2+1+0 = 45.
Step 2: reduce to one number
Add the digits of the total until one digit is left: 45 → 4+5 = 9. This is the mobile number total.
If the total reaches 11 or 22, keep it whole: these are master numbers. Compound totals of 13, 14, 16 and 19 are karmic numbers; our calculator flags them so they are not reduced silently.
Step 3: find your own numbers
Mulank comes from your birth day, Bhagyank from your full date of birth, and your name number from the letters of your name (Chaldean chart).
Example: Rahul Sharma, born 14-08-1990 → Mulank 5 (1+4), Bhagyank 5, name number 3.
Step 4: check the friendship
Compare the mobile total with each of your numbers. Each pair is friendly, neutral or unfriendly, using the same number-friendship table our name calculator uses.
In the example, 9 is friendly with 5 and with 3, so the number is aligned. If any pair is unfriendly, correction is advised; if the pairs are a mix of friendly and neutral, the number is partly aligned.
How to choose a new number
Pick a total that is friendly with both your Mulank and Bhagyank. For the example person the favourable totals are 1, 3, 5, 6 and 9.
When you buy a new SIM, ask the shop or operator for numbers whose digits add up to one of your favourable totals. The calculator shows which last three digits would bring your current number onto a favourable total, so you know what pattern to look for.
Also look at the last four digits, the part people remember most. The calculator shows their total separately, along with digits that repeat a lot or are missing.
What if your current number clashes?
You do not have to change your number at once. The calculator lists remedies for the planet of your current total, such as colours, day, mantra and charity.
If you change it, keep the old number until people have the new one, and choose the new total for your own birth numbers, not what suits someone else.
Check your number in one minute
Our free mobile number calculator does all four steps for you. Enter your number, name and date of birth to see the totals, the friendship with each of your numbers, which life areas the number supports, your favourable totals and remedies, in English or Hindi.
